And i am back, for how long i am not sure, i don't hold a very good record for sticking to stuff, but hopefully i can attempt to keep on top of my LJ and not be lame.
So what's new with me:
- I am still at the DWP and still finding it completely and utter boring and unrewarding, but it is sooooo much better than being on stupid courses and living on 90 quid a fortnight.
- I am moving in with fellow LJ-er
bouncy_penguin and i have promised to be the best flat mate EVER - though that is not a legally binding promise :p Currently we are flat hunting, and looking through peoples houses is my new favourite hobby - I am still attending slimming world, but have finding it difficult, current loss is 2st 1 lb, though the loss was a bit more up to xmas period and it all went a bit tits up.
- One of the girls at work has taught me the basics of how to knit, but i have been really lazy in trying to actually make something, bu hopefully i can get back into that.
- To carry on with slimming world
- To read more (i got seriously slack with that last year)
- To try new things and be less scared of trying something new (be long pondering a short hair cut)
- And finally, to find a new job, because i am bored to death of hearing myself bitching about my current one

Hi Folks,
My LJ will be temporarily down for a while, i just don't seem to have the time to be a good LJ friend, posting regularly whilst catching up with you all.
So rather than deleting my LJ, i am just going to put it aside for a bit, but i will undertand if anyone wants to remove me from their F'List.
If anyone wants to contact me, you have my contact details on my profile.

HEALTH- QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION
Q:I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true?
A:Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise.. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend thelifeof yourcar by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.
_____
Q:Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A:You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.
_____
Q:Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A:No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit.Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way.Beer is also made out of grain.Bottoms up!
_____
Q:How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A:Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.
_____
Q:What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A:Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good!
_____
Q:Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A:YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!!... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?
_____
Q:Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around themiddle?
A:Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.
_____
Q:Is chocolate bad for me?
A:Are you crazy?HELLO Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around!
_____
Q:Is swimming good for your figure?
A:If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.
_____
Q:Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A:Hey! 'Round' is a shape!
_____
Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had aboutfood and diets.
And remember:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather toskid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming

Is there any sort of technology where a friend can do some exercise, but you reap the health benefits?
Because i am really in need of that lol
I have just finished my first humiliating attempt of exercise in a longggggggg time, in the form of a DVD by some girl who used to play a barmaid in Coronation St (a UK soap) . I never realised i was soooooo unfit, it was not a pretty site, and as i was doing it in the living room, we have a massive mirror up, so i could see myself slowly losing the will to breath as my heart rattling away.
But, this is rock bottom, i can't get anymore unfit than i am now, so i look forward to a month or two from now, where i am finding this DVD quite easy, and purchasing a harder one.
I really should be swimming, but no way am i getting in a swimming costume at this stage, once i've lost a bit more, won the lottery and bought my own mansion with a large pool, then i can start swimming.

So all this week, i had thought i needed 4 lbs to lose to get my 1.5 stone award, but it's actually 3 lbs.
Hardly newsworthy, but it makes me happy, 3 lbs is pretty achieveable, even with my blips this week lol So i thought i would do a little review of my last eight weeks of dieting :
Week One - 7 lbs (got 1/2 st award)
Week Two - 1 lbs
Week Three - 1/2 lbs
Week Four - 1.5 lbs
Week Five 5 lbs (Got 1 st award)
Week Six - + 1/2 lbs
Week Seven - 2 lbs
Week Eight - 1 lbs
Total - 18 lbs in 2 months
